The 2022 Commencement will be held indoors at Glazer Arena in the Athletics and Events Center and guests will be allowed to attend the ceremony in person for the first time since 2019. Commencement organizers hope to offer an event with little-to-no COVID-19 restrictions in place and encourage guests to take precautions as they see fit.

Cornell University reports increase in COVID-19 risk level

Cornell University raised its COVID-19 risk level after reporting 151 new cases — the highest number since Cornell dropped its mask mandate March 14.
Members of Faculty Council were able to share their concerns and questions about the changes made to their dental plan that was enacted this year, elected the executive committee and held an executive session for about an hour at its final meeting of the semester. Both the 2021–22 and 2022–23 faculty council members were present for the meeting.

This is a messy approach to the overall campus safety, places an unfair burden upon all professors and ignores the immunocompromised individuals
While the college’s library is following guidance to drop the mask mandate, the LGBT Center will continue to require masks for the time being.

Ithaca College to end indoor masking requirement March 4

Starting March 4, IC will not require face masks to be worn within indoor locations, unless clearly stated otherwise, regardless of vaccination status.
