Following the discovery of the first swastika in Baker Walkway, Interim President La Jerne Cornish sent an email to the campus community condemning the symbol Feb 4. After the second swastika was found in Whalen, the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management sent out an alert Feb. 8 to the campus community.

On Jan. 25, Ithaca College announced the formation of a new school, called the School of Music Theatre and Dance.

On Feb. 1, La Jerne Cornish, interim president of Ithaca College, facilitated an All-College Gathering for students, staff and faculty.
Ivy Walz served as the interim dean of the School of Music during the 2021–22 academic year. In 2020, Walz stepped into an administrative role as assistant dean after former dean Karl Paulnack stepped down at the end of the 2019–20 academic year. 

Ithaca College announces School of Music, Theatre and Dance

On July 1, the Ithaca College School of Music and the Department of Theatre Arts will merge to create the School of Music, Theatre and Dance.
