The Ithaca College Office of Public Safety and Ithaca Police Department have increased their patrols and presence on and around campus this fall, due to both standard protocol and recent crime.
The Ithaca Police Department is still trying to collect “crucial” video for the homicide investigation of Anthony Nazaire, the Ithaca College sophomore who died in an Aug. 28 stabbing on the Cornell University campus, according to the most recent release from the IPD.
On July 26, 20-year-old Eric Richardson, a Cortland High School graduate, jumped from a cliff into the water at Second Dam and did not re-emerge.

After a meeting on Oct. 17 where Ithaca residents gathered to express their concerns about noise pollution, Eric Zwerling, president of the Noise Consultancy, a company that consults for municipalities with noise policies, is helping the City of Ithaca update its noise ordinance.
