Ithaca College announces Cortaca Jug co-founder passes away at 89

Richard N. Carmean ’60, co-founder of the Cortaca Jug, passed away May 23 at the age of 89, according to a statement from the college June 3.
Jeff Long, head coach of the mens lacrosse team and former assistant coach for the womens soccer team, announced his retirement June 1 after serving the program for 36 seasons.

Men’s lacrosse coach reaches 350 career wins at IC

Susan Bassett and Paula Miller were included in the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America’s (CSCAA) list of the 100 Greatest College Swimming & Diving Coaches of the past 100 years.

Freshman takes over starting goaltender position

Freshman goalie Connor Thornton has stepped into the starting goaltender role this season and helped the Bombers to a 7–3 start.
Softball head coach Deb Pallozzi is in her 31st year at the helm of the Ithaca College squad, and recently announced that she will retire at the end of the 2019 season. Pallozzi hopes to lead the team to a national title.
