The Ithaca College baseball team was swept at the hands of the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers in a three-game series April 3-4, played in Rochester, New York and Auburn, New York. After a 13-3 blowout loss in game one, IC dropped a 12-11 thriller in game two, followed by a 10-8 loss in game three.
When senior catcher James Braxmeier reported to military basic training at 18 years old, he assumed his varsity baseball career was over. After four years of service and six years of not being a varsity athlete, he is now a collegiate-level baseball player.Â
The Ithaca College baseball team grabbed two wins over the Clarkson University Golden Knights in a three-game series March 29 and 30. After scoring one run in the first game, the Bombers responded with 31 total runs over the next two games.
When reading through the lineup card of the Ithaca College baseball team, three names stick out: first-year outfielders Anthony Mestre and Isaiah Smith and infielder Zach Barron. The three players are regulars in the Bombers’ starting nine.
After a heartbreaking end to the 2025 season, the Ithaca College baseball team is returning with a fresh lineup that will be quite different from what the Bombers have trotted out the past couple of seasons. To help fill that lineup, the Bombers have brought in a first-year class that is 17 deep, the biggest since 2021.  Â
The Ithaca College baseball team ended the 2025 season with a heartbreaking loss to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers on May 11 at Booth Field. After a 16-6 loss May 10, the Bombers fought to protect their Liberty League Championship Tournament title, but they were unable to find their groove and fell 4-1.
With the regular season closing May 3, the Liberty League Championship Tournament for baseball is set to commence. This year, the Ithaca College baseball team will host the tournament for the first time since the 2022 season, when they captured their first Liberty League title in program history.
