The Ithaca College baseball team defeated the Hobart College Statesmen on its senior day on April 25 at Freeman Field. The Bombers clinched home field advantage for the Liberty League championship tournament on April 27 with a win at Hobart.

The Ithaca College baseball team saw an opportunity to sit atop the Liberty League and made good use of it, defeating the Hobart College Statesmen 7-4 on Senior Day April 25 at Freeman Field. The victory granted the Bombers the Liberty League West crown and home field advantage in the Liberty League Crossover Series. 
The spring sports season has provided strong performances by many first-year student athletes across Ithaca College athletics. Ivan Kisic of the men's tennis team has stepped up for the program thus far.

As the 2024-25 academic year comes to a close, the student-athletes of Ithaca College find themselves amid another season of spring sports. For several Bombers teams, they have looked toward first-year players for immediate contributions and their faith in recent recruits has been rewarded.

From 2020-23 the backstop at Freeman Field was primarily protected by the prowess of catcher Gil Merod ’23. Now, the Bombers have leveraged a four catcher rotation to try and replace Merod, creating a competitive bond that has pushed the team throughout the season.

When sophomore baseball player Benjamin Ruth stepped onto Ithaca College’s campus for the first time, it was not as a high school student exploring options; it was after transferring from a Division I program and realizing that maybe, the best place for him had been in his backyard all along.
The Ithaca College baseball team split its doubleheader with the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers April 4. The series had originally scheduled a doubleheader in Rochester April 5, but was changed due to the forecast.

The Ithaca College baseball team experienced a tale of two extremes in its doubleheader against the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers on April 4. The Bombers went down to the wire, walking off game one 5-4 and getting walked off 2-1 in game two.

Baseball seeks regional redemption with new season

After an unceremonious end to the 2024 season, the Ithaca College baseball team looks to step back into the batter’s box for another shot at the postseason. This year, a combination of veteran leadership and breakout underclassmen are hoping to lead the Bombers to the promised land for the first time since 2013’s Cinderella run to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship ended in a third-place finish.

Bombers put on dominant showcase on Senior Day

On a cold and rainy Senior Day, the Ithaca College baseball team had nothing to sulk around about, as the team lit up the Hobart College Statesmen by scores of 8–4 and 9–0 on April 27. With those wins, the team clinched the no. 1 seed in the Liberty League and home field advantage for the Liberty League Crossover Series on May 4.

The Ithaca College baseball team hosted its Liberty League rival, the University of Rochester Yellowjackets at Valesente Diamond at Freeman Field on a chilly afternoon, April 21. After splitting a double header in Rochester on April 20, the Bombers came out victorious in a 5–1 contest to secure a series victory.
