Now that the college is addressing student support concerns, it needs to find financial balance.
“The college professor is the last leisure class in America.” Why not reduce your payroll by requiring each professor to add one course to their workload?
The students want these support services and with the students being 88% of the revenue source, the students will have to pick up 88% of the tab.
In times such as these, the campus community needs upfront discussion about the initiatives the college will be taking to remedy these issues.
Due to rising tuition costs, it is unclear if students can continue to bear the weight of generating the bulk of the college’s revenue.
Moving forward, the college should address its budget problems and overpriced cost of attendance with the utmost severity and urgency.
