The protest, which lasted for five hours, was led by Ithaca’s chapter of Extinction Rebellion U.S., an organization that uses nonviolent civil disobedience to demand change. The group was protesting because of its concern that Chase Bank is financially supporting businesses linked to climate change and human rights abuses.

Approximately 50 people participated in a protest outside Chase Bank downtown Feb. 13 that resulted in 12 arrests.
After conducting research, Jenna Heffron, assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy published a chapter in the book, “Occupational Therapy for Adults with Intellectual Disability.” The book contains contributions from several authors. Research on the subject matter was conducted primarily at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
