Women’s basketball bounces back by defeating the Tigers to advance to the Liberty League semi-finals

The Ithaca College women's basketball team were victorious in the Liberty League quarterfinals contest, defeating the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers by a score of 78–59 on Feb. 20.
Senior guard Cara Volpe started all 29 games for the Bombers this season. Volpe averaged 9.2 points and 4.1 assists this season, helping the team to a 25–4 record.

After a year of no basketball, senior guard Cara Volpe and the Ithaca College women’s basketball team made their return to the NCAA Division III tournament this season.
The Ithaca College womens basketball team lost 73–71 in overtime in the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 against Springfield College on March 5.

Ithaca College women’s basketball team wins Liberty League title

The No. 23 Ithaca College women’s basketball team has won the 2022 Liberty League Championship. The Bombers defeated the St. Lawrence University Saints 70–58 Feb. 27 at Ben Light Gymnasium.
The college implemented its updated spectator policy Jan. 12, allowing only students, faculty and staff members to attend competitions until the situation is further evaluated Feb. 7.

Women’s basketball team adds former head coach to staff

Jim Mullins, longtime men’s basketball head coach, will make his return to the bench this winter, as a volunteer assistant coach on the staff of the women’s team.
The Ithaca College womens basketball team will play at Montclair State University Nov. 12, 2022 in order to be able to attend the 2022 Cortaca Jug game.
