Ithaca College women’s basketball is now 7-8 after wrapping up a five game home stand with a pair of Liberty League games Jan. 16 and 17. After a tough loss against a good opponent on Friday night, the Bombers bounced back with a blowout win Saturday afternoon.
Ithaca College women’s basketball bested the William Smith College Herons on Jan. 13 at the Ben Light Gymnasium 66-57. Junior guard Tori Drevna drove the Bombers to victory with a career-high 23 points, despite being without head coach Dan Raymond for the evening.
For four years, Emma Waite tried her best to beat the Ithaca College women’s basketball team. Following her graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2024, that changed when she decided to use her last year of eligibility to become one of the Bombers, being a key part of a 19-8 season. On top of being a student-athlete, Waite became a teaching assistant and is now a graduate assistant coach of the women’s basketball team.
This season, the Ithaca College women’s basketball team sets out to avenge last season’s shortcomings. Through guard-heavy lineups and a defensive centered mindset, the Bombers are determined to follow their mantra and leave their own legacy.

Ithaca College seems to have a “redeem team” of its own this season, as the women’s basketball team aims to return to the summit of the Liberty League Championship Tournament.
The Ithaca College women's basketball team were victorious in the Liberty League quarterfinals contest, defeating the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers by a score of 78–59 on Feb. 20.
After a year of no basketball, senior guard Cara Volpe and the Ithaca College women’s basketball team made their return to the NCAA Division III tournament this season.
The Ithaca College women’s basketball team fell to Springfield College at the buzzer in the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 by a final score of 73–71 March 5 at Ben Light Gymnasium.
The No. 23 Ithaca College women’s basketball team has won the 2022 Liberty League Championship. The Bombers defeated the St. Lawrence University Saints 70–58 Feb. 27 at Ben Light Gymnasium.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, spectators outside of the Ithaca College community will not be allowed to attend athletic events until at least Feb. 7.
