IC students selected as Coca-Cola Films finalists

Each year, the Coca-Cola Refreshing Films Program accepts pitches from young filmmakers, like two of the 2023 finalists, Ithaca College first-year students Sami Smith and Malaika Menezes.
On June 9, Amy Falkner was appointed as the new dean of Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications and began her position Aug. 1.

As the country learns about the NCAA’s new Name, Image and Likeness policy, Ithaca College students have the chance to take a special topics class titled Personal Branding for College Athletes.

The Creative Media Team, Ithaca College’s newest co-curricular, was recognized at the beginning of the semester and moved into their office Jan. 27.
Junior Connor Hibbard is the station manager for WICB and a TVR major. Hibbard has been taking part in the radio stations since he was a freshman. Hibbard said he is not in favor of the name change because it pushes radio to the background.

IC renames TVR degree to reflect changing job market

For decades, IC students have been graduating with a degree in Television-Radio, but starting in Fall 2022 the major name will be officially changed.

The Ithaca College Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America held its 17th annual Swish for Make-A-Wish on April 21.
Vince DeTuri, director of the Integrative Core Curriculum, said the Park School's proposal is on hold until the ICC program review during the 2018–19 academic year. The proposal calls for an expansion of the Liberal Arts and Society theme, which currently is only available to transfer students.
