As the academic year kicks off, so does a new athletic season. For the 2024–25 season, six teams — men’s cross-country, men’s track and field, volleyball, sculling, women's rowing and women’s tennis — will have a new head coach. In addition, four teams — men’s basketball, men’s rowing, sculling and women’s rowing — will have new assistant coaches.
Under threats of heavy wind and thunderstorms, the Ithaca College men’s and women’s rowing teams started their spring seasons at the annual Cayuga Duels on April 1.
Mental performance consultants at the college, who are professionally trained in athletic psychology, are largely aiding student-athletes in developing mental, life and self-regulatory skills.
Dan Robinson ’79 will retire as head coach of the Ithaca College men’s crew team at the end of the 2022 season after 47 years on South Hill, including his time as a student-athlete and coach.
With the 2022 spring season approaching, the Ithaca College men’s crew team is gearing up for a return in April as it looks to reach its goals for the year.
