The Ithaca College mens and womens crew teams met Thursday, June 23 at the Cayuga Inlet for their weekly cookout. Former mens head coach Dan Robinson 79 said the teams have been hosting the event for over 30 years.

Women’s and men’s crew bond during summer cookouts

On a small grill by the Cayuga Inlet, former Ithaca College men’s crew coach Dan Robinson ’79 stood over a flame, cooking for the weekly rowing cookout.
Senior Manny Sanchez, captain of the IC Blue League of Legends team, said the team has been unable to use the esports room at the college this year because of scheduling difficulties. Instead, the team practices virtually, using online chat apps to communicate.

Esports club seeking support from administration

Since 2019, the Ithaca College Esports Club has appealed to casual gamers who just want to have fun, as well as competitive gamers who enjoy the thrill of tournaments.

Ithaca College students organize panel about sports coverage

Three senior Ithaca College sports media students organized and hosted a panel discussing how Esports, fantasy sports and gambling are causing the coverage of sports to change.
The womens Novice 8 boat placed first April 7 against SUNY Geneseo and St. John Fisher College at the Cayuga Lake Inlet. The womens team has a total of 13 novice athletes.
