Empire 8 Conference title highlights up and down season

The men's basketball team's 2011-12 season was not for the fainthearted. As agonizing as some stints of the season may have been, the Bombers capitalized their campaign by winning the Empire 8 Conference Tournament for the first time in the program's history.

Though the men’s basketball team reached the championship game of the Doc Greene Tournament on Friday, the Bombers were unable to hoist the tournament trophy as they fell to host Juniata College (8–2), 68-65. The Blue and Gold fell to 3–6 on the season after the loss, which featured a lot of broken records.

Team optimistic despite shaky start

The men’s basketball team is off to its worst start in six seasons after losing five of its first six games. But the Bombers are staying positive and still trying to develop the team chemistry necessary for a second consecutive 20-win season.
