Ithaca College hires a new sustainability coordinator

This will be the college’s 12th year participating in Recyclemania, a competition encouraging schools to reduce waste on their campuses.
“There was a golden era of sustainability on this campus, and we’re not in it anymore,” he said.
“This is definitely the year … that we can start getting programs running and having sustainability here,” Enderle said.
Now in his first semester as director of energy management and sustainability at Ithaca College, Greg Lischke says he plans to increase student involvement in sustainability programs and that the college has some renewable energy projects in early stages.
The Cornell University Board of Trustees has announced Cornell will not be divesting from fossil fuel companies. Ithaca College students remain hopeful for their efforts to achieve divestment on South Hill.
