Football advances over Pride with 21–7 win in tournament play

The No. 18 Ithaca College football team traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts on Nov. 18, for a first-round matchup with the Springfield College Pride. After coming out victorious over the Pride in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2022, the Bombers once again proved their dominance with a 21–7 win to survive and advance.

Bombers drop 64th annual Cortaca Jug in offensive battle

The Jug is returning to Cortland, New York, as the Ithaca College football team dropped the 64th annual Cortaca Jug to the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons by a final score of 38–28.

For the second straight season, the Ithaca College football team is the Liberty League Champion after a 62–0 win over Buffalo State University on Oct. 28.

Football earns gritty victory over Garnet Chargers

On a rain-soaked day, the Ithaca College football team earned a hard-fought victory, downing the Union College Garnet Chargers by a final score of 17–9 at Bertino Field at Butterfield Stadium.
Derek Slywka, a graduate student defensive back for the Bombers, leaps above the line of scrimmage to block a field goal attempt by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute graduate student kicker Jared Elstein in overtime. The Bombers kicked a field goal on their next possession, clinching their win over RPI 20—17.

On a cloudy and rainy day, the Ithaca College football team did something they had not done in 22 years, defeating the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers in Troy, NY, in a thrilling 20–17 overtime victory.

Bombers reclaim the Cortaca Jug in front of 40,232 fans

When the clock hit zero at the end of the fourth quarter, the Bombers had come out on top for the 38th time in the rivalry’s history with a 34–17 win at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

The No. 11/12 Ithaca College football team defeated the No. 9/11 SUNY Cortland Red Dragons 34–17 in the 63rd annual Cortaca Jug at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
Under Michael Toerper, the new head coach of the Ithaca College football program, the Bombers have started 3–0 and have been dominant on both sides of the ball.

The Ithaca College football team is off to a scorching 3–0 start to the 2022 season under first-year head coach Michael Toerper.
During Spring 2022, Ellen Staurowsky, professor in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences and Studies at Ithaca College, is teaching a new course titled Personal Branding for College Athletes.

Dan Swanstrom, former Ithaca College head football coach, has left to become the offensive coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania. He posted a 32-11 record during his four seasons with the Bombers.
