Rowing dominates Liberty League foes on Senior Day

Rowing surges into the spring season at the Cayuga Duels

The Ithaca College women’s and men’s rowing teams squared off with multiple New York state foes at the Cayuga Duels on March 30 at the Cayuga Inlet. 
First-year freestyle/backstroke Marshall Adams is apart of both the men’s swimming team and the men’s rowing team. Adams is the only student-athlete currently at Ithaca College that pursues a dual-sport combination that is not football and track and field.

The Ithaca College men’s rowing team is coming off a season that saw them make the National Invitational Rowing Championships for the second year in a row. The young squad will look to make it to nationals a third time with a new look for the Liberty League conference.

Under threats of heavy wind and thunderstorms, the Ithaca College men’s and women’s rowing teams started their spring seasons at the annual Cayuga Duels on April 1.

Every Thursday night over the summer, former Ithaca College men’s crew coach Dan Robinson ’79 could be found standing at a charcoal grill by the Cayuga Inlet.
Justin Stangel, former associate head coach for Hobart College, was named the sixth head coach in Ithaca College men's crew program history. He replaces Dan Robinson '79, who retired in March after 37 seasons with the college.
