Pop culture conference empowers academics

On the weekend of April 21–22, members of the Ithaca College community eagerly participated in the sixth edition of the Pippi to Ripley Conference.
Hip-hop artist Enongo Lumumba-Kasongo, whose stage name is Sammus, performs Feb. 26 at an Ithaca Underground show at The Haunt. Sammus will perform April 21 in the Emerson Suites and lead a panel the following day on race and video gaming as part Pippi to Ripley.

Annual Pippi to Ripley event to discuss sexuality in fiction

On April 21 and 22, avid pop culture fans and self-proclaimed nerds will meet for the fourth biennial Pippi to Ripley conference.
