The men’s swimming and diving team has 28 athletes on it’s roster compared to 19 at the end of 2017-18 thanks to a large freshman class.
The swimming and diving teams have a longer break than any other winter sport which allows them to have an intense training week during winter break.
The men’s and women’s swimming and diving team uses taper, a technique that involves reducing yardage and practice time, to prepare for big meets.
Senior Adam Zelehowsky was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, a heart condition in which the upper chambers of the heart beat irregularly in 2014.
Students at Ithaca College come from all over the nation. 10 student-athletes specifically stayed in their home town, graduating from Ithaca High School.
After wrapping up an outstanding career with the Bombers as a swimmer, Lucas Zelehowsky is now an assistant coach for the men’s swimming and diving team.
The men’s swimming and diving squad has started off its 2015-16 campaign with a 2–1 overall record and will look to both veterans and newcomers to build on success.
