Students learn new languages in conversation groups

The Italian and Spanish conversation groups on campus, known as Chiacchiere and Tertulias respectively consist of weekly informal sessions for students to practice their conversation skills.
Next semester East Tower will be home to the First Place and Language House residential learning communities and a sophomore living space. The college currently has 10 RLCs.

Most science-fiction blockbusters resort to brainless plots and mass destruction with no consequences, but “Arrival” is not the typical sci-fi film.
The film festival, Cine Con Cultura, features films produced in Latin American cultures. All 11 films are in Spanish or Portuguese. Tickets are $7.50 per film or $6 for seniors and students. Festival passes are $50 for all films and $40 for seniors and students. Select screenings will be shown for free.
