Park Digital Sideshow brings a circus of events to IC campus

Four annual competitions housed in the Park School are coming together for the first time in the form of The Park Digital Sideshow.
Kiese Laymon, the next writer in Ithaca College’s Distinguished Visiting Writers Series, has been published in The Los Angeles Times, The Best American Series and The Guardian, and will release two books next year.

DeGraw presents a sound similar to his previous song, “I Don’t Want To Be,” in his new song, “You Make My Heart Sing Louder,” from his new album. The singer-songwriter captivates his fans by returning to his original sound for this steady, medium-tempo piece. Another new song from the album that takes fans back to his 2003 sound is “Kite Like Girl.” This upbeat, instrumental song encompasses DeGraw’s classic sound but has a pop twist.

Quirky, obnoxious and unique. These traits create the “manic pixie dream girl” trope that Ithaca College senior Alyssa Rodriguez explored this summer in collaboration with Katharine Kittredge, professor in the Department of English. Rodriguez’s project is funded by her Emerson Humanities Collaboration Award, an annual IC award that provides students with financial support for scholarly projects.
