Ithaca College President Shirley M. Collado introduced La Jerne Cornish, the newly appointed provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, at the Faculty Council meeting May 1.
Collado made the announcement to the campus community via email on April 25. Cornish will be on campus on May 1 and will begin her tenure on July 1.
The Ithaca College Faculty Council discussed the most recent draft of the Use of Campus Facilities for Events and Activities Policy at a meeting April 4.
Simply put, the college needs to allocate more resources to ensure that students are safe, happy and healthy while on campus.
The commencement address was given by television producer Bill D’Elia ’69.
Faculty Council Chairman Tom Swensen said he thinks the new draft is relatively similar to the previous one.
The meeting took place on March 20, the day before the scheduled bargaining session between the full time– and part time–faculty unions and administration.
