Ira McKinley, filmmaker, Ithaca College Dining Services employee and lifelong activist, says he has never been afraid to speak his mind. The 61-year-old man was born in Pahokee, Florida — which was the setting of his 2022 award-winning documentary “Outta the Muck,” — and grew up in Ithaca’s Southside neighborhood. 

By day, they teach classes at Ithaca College. By night, two professors join forces with an Ithaca singer/songwriter's band to perform music together.

The exhibit is named after an animated short film of the same name, which features original work by local artist Alice Muhlback.
