The Ithaca College Campus store has stopped purchasing plastic bags in response to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s plastic bag ban. The ban will begin in March of 2020.

Not only is Mac’s finding a way to make sure its surplus stock is not going to waste, but the food if filling a real, tangible need.

Sophomore Gabby Picca first pitched the idea because she found herself spending remaining bonus bucks on items that she didn’t really need or want.
Starting this school year, Mac’s has foregone all bags, paper or plastic, and students will be responsible for carrying their purchases home.

Mac’s accepts all forms of payment

After summer alterations, Mac’s General Store now accepts debit and credit cards and allows joint checkouts with the bookstore.
