Commentary: BIPOC experiences belong in class conversations

I’m tired of having my oppression intellectualized by white students and faculty. I’m tired of hearing “life’s not fair” from white students discussing class structure.
The event, held Feb. 14, was part of the Difficult Dialogues: Cultivating Cultures of Belonging Symposium — an event created to facilitate discussion of complex and controversial subjects by bringing guest speakers to campus to address challenging subjects.
