Search committee aims to pick next president by end of 2016

Following a summer of work by the presidential search committee, meeting and vetting candidates, the search for a new president of Ithaca College has been narrowed to under 30 candidates. The committee's stated goal is to select a new president of the college by the end of 2016.

Like the African drum ensemble that greeted the Class of 2020 as they walked into the Ithaca College 2016 Convocation ceremony, the speakers who addressed them conveyed an upbeat attitude toward the upcoming year.

Student Government Association elects 2016–17 senate chair

Freshman Carlie McClinsey was voted in as 2016–17 senate chair of the Student Government Association at the May 2 meeting, running against two other candidates on a platform for strengthening the senate and stabilizing the constitution.
Tim Conners, senator for the Class of 2017, proposed the Tobacco Free IC bill at the Student Government Associations May 2 meeting. The senate also passed four other bills at the meeting, marking the highest number of bills passed at a meeting this semester.

IC Office has announced its candidacy of for the 2016–17 Student Government Association Executive Board. Voting will commence via email and Orgsync on April 28 and 29.

SGA appointments new interim VP following convoluted process

Ithaca College SGA appointed a new vice president of campus affairs Feb. 15. The decision came after a long and convoluted process that began over winter break with the resignation of former vice president, Yena Seo.
