The Student Government Association Senate passed four bills at the April 18 meeting, two of which seek to implement “environmental betterment” efforts on campus as part of a larger package of sustainability-related bills.
At the April 4 Student Government Association meeting, members of the Ithaca College student senate put forward three bills, two of which did not pass the proposal stage and the other of which was voted down.
At the Feb. 29 meeting, the executive board announced its appointment of sophomore Luis Torres to fill the permanent vice president position after having served two weeks as the interim.
What should have been done is to clear up the confusion before taking any actions to fill the position, rather than retroactively trying to follow the correct process.
Ithaca College SGA appointed a new vice president of campus affairs Feb. 15. The decision came after a long and convoluted process that began over winter break with the resignation of former vice president, Yena Seo.

Ithaca College Student Government Association delayed the induction of interim vice president of campus affairs, Matilda Thornton-Clark, following low senate attendance and confusion over the constitution.
Former Class of 2016 senator Matilda Thornton-Clark has been chosen to take over as the Student Government Association vice president of campus affairs on a permanent basis, according to a Jan. 19 SGA announcement.
In response to recent campus protests, racial tensions and issues of exclusivity, the Ithaca College Student Government Association passed a bill Oct. 26 to initiate a student vote of no confidence regarding President Tom Rochon.
At its meeting Sept. 21, the SGA voted in four senators: freshman Charles Kane, freshman Ezeka Allen, junior Eli Serota and senior Matilda Thornton-Clark. SGA voted in another senator, junior Luke Waldner, at its meeting Sept. 28.
