Football blitzes past conference competition

After going undefeated for the first time in the regular season since 1986, the Ithaca College football team returns with high expectations in their chase for an NCAA Championship.
Butterfield Stadium is one of two natural grass football fields in the Liberty League. However, Ithaca College announced in November that the field would be replaced with an artificial turf surface.

The Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland football teams held a joint press conference at noon Nov. 9 in the Emerson Suites to celebrate the quickly approaching Cortaca Jug game.

Richard N. Carmean ’60, co-founder of the Cortaca Jug, passed away May 23 at the age of 89, according to a statement from the college June 3.
Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland held a joint press conference along with a representative from the New York Yankees on Sept. 21 when the game was announced.
