Self-study report first step in three-year institutional reaccreditation process

Starting in January 2024, Ithaca College will begin two years of self-study, the first step in the process of being reaccredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Susan Adams Delaney, associate professor in the Department of Writing was appointed interim director of the ICC at the beginning of Fall 2018. She has now been reappointed to serve a three year term.

Ithaca College announced that Susan Adams Delaney has been selected to serve as the director of the Integrative Core Curriculum.

ICC to undergo review during academic year

The Integrative Core Curriculum will be undergoing a program review to assess how effective it has been for Ithaca College students.
The Middle States Commission visited the college from Feb. 26-28 and followed a self-study process the college began in 2015. The self-study process consisted of an executive committee, a steering committee and seven working groups.

Middle States reaccredit Ithaca College

Ithaca College has been reaccredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Linda Petrosino ’77, M.S. ’78, retiring dean of the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, has been the dean of the School of HSHP since 2012 and has facilitated the development of programs, partnerships and strategic goals.

Ithaca College is taking the first major step toward reaccreditation by putting together the first drafts of a report that analyzes how the college is meeting certain standards.

The list of professors at Ithaca College who were awarded tenure for 2015–16 was announced Feb. 21. However, missing from the list were the names of the professors that POC at IC demanded be given immediate tenure.
