School of Music initiative brings music to Cayuga Hospital

The School of Music is starting an initiative, where students perform at Cayuga Medical Center in an effort to bring reprieve to a stressful environment.
Harpist and IC affiliate Anna O’Connell performed examples of therapeutic harp music during the Community-Based Learning Spotlight Event hosted by the Office of Civic Engagement and the Center for Faculty Excellence on April 4 in McHenry Lounge in the Whalen Center for Music. The event reintroduced the Music as Medicine Project and highlighted students’ work with the initiative.
