Ithaca College athletics wrapped up its fall season with many achievements under each squad's belt. Football, field hockey and sophomore Kyla Eisman of women's cross country made it into NCAA tournament play.
After a 60-minute defensive battle, the Ithaca College field hockey team fell, 1–0, to the reigning the William Smith College Herons in the Liberty League championship on Nov 5.
After a 2–1 victory Oct. 22 in Poughkeepsie, the Ithaca College field hockey team rematched the Vassar College Brewers in the Liberty League semifinal game on Nov. 3 at Higgins Stadium. The Bombers expanded on their previous one-point advantage, besting the Brewers in a dominant, 3–0, showing.
The 1–0 victory over the University of Rochester improved the team’s post-regulation record to a perfect 4–0; the first time the team has ever gone undefeated during extra time in program history.
The Ithaca College field hockey team bolstered its position at the top of Liberty League standings with a 2–1 victory over the St. Lawrence University Saints on Oct. 4 at Higgins Stadium.

After dropping its home opener, 3–0, against the Kean University Cougars on Sept. 1, the Ithaca College field hockey team went on to earn two victories on the road before finally bringing one home.
Following a dominant 2022 season that yielded a 14–4 record, the Ithaca College field hockey team opened its 2023 season with a tumultuous 3–0 loss to the No. 17 Kean University Cougars on Sept. 1.
Coming off a 2020 that halted all fall sports, the Ithaca College field hockey program has earned back-to-back trips to the Liberty League playoffs the past two seasons. However, there is one thing that is still missing: a Liberty League Championship.
