Erin Hughes will be the next head coach of the Ithaca College women’s basketball team, Ithaca College athletics announced May 4. Hughes comes to IC from Division III Trinity College, where she was an assistant coach for two seasons.

On the final weekend of the regular season, the Ithaca College women’s basketball team concluded its worst season in program history, finishing its 2025-26 schedule 9-16 and No. 8 in the Liberty League.

The Ithaca College women's basketball team fell to 7-14 after losses to two separate Liberty League opponents Feb. 6 and Feb. 7. A close loss Friday night led to a tired Bombers squad stumbling defensively on Saturday.
