Ithaca College Canvas went down in the afternoon of May 7, the first day of final exams. The outage occurred alongside a larger outage connected to a cyberattack affecting 9,000 schools. The Ithacan has been unable to confirm if IC’s Canvas outage is connected to this attack.

These outages have been an embarrassment for DIIS and for the college’s brand, which depends on a competent network and navigable system of communication at all times.
