The men’s basketball team pulled off the upset, defeating the Rutgers-Newark University Raiders in the semifinals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship and punching its ticket into the championship game against New Jersey City University.
The women’s basketball squad clinched a spot in the Empire 8 Tournament with a 78–61 victory over Hartwick College. The Bombers concluded the regular season with an overall record of 15–10 and a record of 11–5 in conference play.
