In an Intercom message posted Dec. 19, Kirra Franzese, associate vice president and chief Human Resources officer at Ithaca College, announced that Omar Stoute ’18 will assume the position of director of Staff Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, beginning Jan. 16. 
The panel, hosted by IC Strike and the college’s Title IX office, was held Sept. 24 to be a conversation about the new national Title IX regulations and the impact on the college’s Title IX rules.

Omar Stoute, the new Title IX deputy coordinator, has worked at the college in different positions in recent years and will be taking over the position, said La Jerne Cornish, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, in the announcement. He started the position Feb. 17.

The Title IX office in the Ithaca College Office of the General Counsel announced Feb. 14 that Omar Stoute ’17 is the new Title IX deputy coordinator.
Nationwide, families in the bottom quartile — with salaries less than $34,933 — pay the highest percentage of their income. The second quartile includes salaries $34,933 to $65,496; the third quartile spans $65,496 to $116,466; the top quartile earns $116,466 and more.

The First-Generation Student Group was created by several Ithaca College students and became recognized by the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs this semester. The group hopes to serve as an outlet for first-generation college students, the first in their family to attend college.
