The Ithaca College baseball team defeated the SUNY-Oswego Lakers by a score of 6–0 today on Freeman Field. The Bombers are now 9–3 and ranked 20th nationally by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Head Coach George Valesente reached another milestone in his storied career at the helm of the baseball team when the Bombers defeated Pomona-Pitzer College yesterday by a score of 9-5 in Claremont, Calif. The win was the 1,000th of Valesente's 40-year coaching career, which has included stints at SUNY-Brockport, SUNY-New Paltz and SUNY-Maritime.

The baseball team won its first game of the season yesterday, defeating the Mount Saint Mary College Knights 9–2 in Yaphank, N.Y.
