Two rowing alumni to represent Team USA at Worlds

Even though their time at Ithaca College may have ended, two rowing alumni, Pearl Outlaw ’20 and Savanna Brija ’18 are set to pick up their oars once again, this time for Team USA.

Sculling aims to win gold at national championship

The Ithaca College sculling team is looking to get back to the NCAA championship with a large freshman class.
Junior Savannah Brija and senior Libby Burns raced across Cayuga Lake during the Cayuga Sculling Sprints regatta Sept. 24. Brija and Burns placed second overall with a time of 16:04.9.

The women's sculling team competed at the Cayuga Sculling Springs Sept. 24 at the Cayuga Inlet. The team placed first in four out of the five regattas.
Freshman Pearl Outlaw, a member of the Ithaca College womens rowing team, was born with a genetic condition called retinitis pigmentosa. She was born with some light receptors and color receptors in her eyes not functioning properly, and retinitis pigmentosa causes the ones that are working to slowly deteriorate over time.
