In an email to current juniors, Dean of Students Bonnie Prunty and Rosanna Ferro, vice president of the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life, announced the launch of the Senior and Graduate Housing Community, which will be located in Eastman Hall. Seniors and graduate students can live in the community for either one semester or both during the 2022–23 academic year.

The Ithaca College Republicans released a statement Sept. 4 after Cristhian Bahena Rivera, an undocumented Mexican farmer, was charged with the murder of Mollie Tibbetts, a 20-year-old student at the University of Iowa. IC Republicans released a follow-up statement Sept. 24 admitting that the statement generalized that all undocumented immigrants commit more crime than native-born Americans.

The Ithaca College Republicans released a statement Sept. 24 apologizing for politicizing the death of Mollie Tibbetts in a previous press release.
The petition was created in response to several cases of alleged exclusion of LGBTQ and students of color from the Protestant community. It was delivered to President Shirley M. Collado in May with a request for the demands to be met by July 1.

IC Color plans to protest for further change in PC

College’s carbon footprint projected to decline 45 percent

At the All-College Gathering on Aug. 23, Ithaca College President Shirley M. Collado announced that the college’s carbon footprint is projected to drop by 45 percent this academic year. This decrease in overall carbon output is part of the college’s previous pledge to be completely carbon neutral by the year 2050.

The Middle States Commission visited the college from Feb. 26-28 and followed a self-study process the college began in 2015. The self-study process consisted of an executive committee, a steering committee and seven working groups.
