Live-blog: Ithaca College holds meeting addressing racism

Following rallies about the racial climate on campus, Ithaca College will hold an event titled “Addressing Community Action on Racism and Cultural Bias,” which aims to list possible actions about this issue that could be undertaken immediately.
Junior Menalie Hyde was selected to be the Residence Hall Association representative to the recently created Council on Diversity and Inclusion, which is intended to address diversity and racial bias issues on campus.

On Oct. 26, 2013, between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m., Ithaca College students Jasmine and Jennifer Spearman got into a physical altercation with two Public Safety officers after the officers entered their Circle Apartment to investigate a noise complaint.
