“You see a student like Rugie [Baldeh], bright, engaged, raising provocative issues, always in the conversation and then one day you come to class, and she's staring out of the window,” Peyi Soyinka-Airewele, professor in the Department of Politics, said. “You can't even continue teaching. It's impossible. … Just watching my students in class when they go through a situation like that is literally heartbreaking.”
