Students were evacuated from East Tower after safety personnel from the college reported heavy smoke in the hallway of the 10th floor.
In mid-Setpember, this shower in East Tower on the third floor was flooded by a leak in the bathroom above on the fourth floor. The issue was not fixed until after Thanksgiving.

Aging residential facilities are becoming harder to repair at IC

Aging residence halls at Ithaca College are leading to harder-to-fix maintenance issues — a problem that many students on campus are noticing.
Bonnie Prunty, director of Residential Life, said the dining halls will remain closed while all residential buildings will be open to students during the Thanksgiving and spring breaks.

With the increase in student requests for housing accommodation during breaks in the past several years, the Office of Residential Life has announced it will allow students to remain in any of the residential halls and residential apartments during Thanksgiving and spring breaks.
