Student-run businesses win startup funds at annual event

Ornaked, a clothing line that makes one of each clothing piece, is a student business that won $1,000 at Ithaca College Startup Idea Demo Day Nov. 19.

Ithaca College event gives students opportunity to pitch business ideas

Ithaca College held its first 3 Day Startup, an event that provided students with the chance to practice pitching business ideas.

At the Rev Ithaca Startup Works, seven teams of Ithaca College students donned their entrepreneurial hats to pitch original ideas and products.
Junior Meagan Priest and senior Cory Kimmell present their business plan for MycoCeiling, a startup specializing in ceiling tiles that are more environmentally friendly and can biodegrade at a faster rate than current mainstream ceiling tiles, at the Ithaca College Business Plan Demo Day.
