SLT gives updates at the State of the College gathering

The Ithaca College SLT gave updates regarding the college’s enrollment, finances and goals for the 2021–22 academic year at the State of the College gathering Oct. 5. 
The college is currently looking into two possible revenue sources through feasibility studies. One alternative source is off-campus student housing and the other is a New York City graduate program, said Janet Williams, interim vice president for finance and administration.

Ithaca College is looking into utilizing the campus facilities and housing during the summer months to host an increasing number of conferences, camps and sporting events.

Ithaca College is seeking new ways to generate alternative sources of revenue to keep tuition from rising. One of the ideas being developed is expanding the use of the campus by outside organizations and visitors in the summer.
Gerald Hector, vice president of finance and administration, will leave Ithaca College in July to serve as the vice president for financial affairs at Cornell University.
