During his 23 years as head coach, Welch has accumulated a 169–78 overall record with eight NCAA playoff appearances.
The Ithaca College football team defeated Buffalo State 7–0 Nov. 5 at Butterfield Stadium. The Bombers are now 5–4 on the year.
The Ithaca College football, wrestling, men’s lacrosse and men’s basketball teams worked with Applied Performance Sciences, a program focusing on maximizing human performance.
The Bombers prepare for their home opener against Hobart College at 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at Butterfield Stadium.
Senior Logan Murphy and junior Rob Barberi have been playing football together since they were freshman in high school.
The football team is ready to get back to a national contender for the 2015 season.
