The Ithaca College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have recently moved on from two longtime coaches. This season, with new voices in leadership, the Bombers have continued to have success in the pool while also placing an emphasis on success outside the pool.
The Ithaca College men’s basketball team squared off against the Vassar College Brewers on Senior Day Feb. 17 at Ben Light Gymnasium. The Bombers fell 79-78 in the last minute of the game and gave their final goodbyes to senior guards Andrew Geschickter, Triston Wennersten, Noah Downing and Blake Haber.
The Ithaca College women’s basketball team was defeated 66–59 by the Vassar College Brewers on Feb.17 in their final regular season game, snapping a five-game winning streak.Â
The Ithaca College men’s basketball team lost 84–83 against The Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers on Feb. 6 at Ben Light Gymnasium, in a game that went until the last possession, with the Tigers getting two game winning free-throws.
Ithaca College athletics wrapped up its fall season with many achievements under each squad's belt. Football, field hockey and sophomore Kyla Eisman of women's cross country made it into NCAA tournament play.
Since 2017, Ithaca College athletics has competed as a member of the Liberty League. During this time, the college has won several Liberty League Championships across every sport in every season. The women’s swimming and diving program is one of those perennial championship teams and this season, they are looking to win their fifth straight Liberty League title.
On Oct. 24, the Ithaca College women’s soccer team took on the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers at Carp Wood Field where both benches were electric from the start.Â
Despite a lack of offensive production, the Ithaca College women’s soccer looked sharp on defense as they finished their penultimate home match with a physical 0–0 draw against the Vassar College Brewers Oct. 21 at Carp Wood Field.

The Ithaca College volleyball team takes on a tall task every year, playing in several multi-header matchups against different teams; something atypical for other sports at the college.
Sophomore tennis star Taylor Crain was a first-year student phenom last season, racking up a 14–6 singles record, 12–7 doubles record and taking home Liberty League Rookie of the Year.
