Over the past two years, President Shirley M. Collado’s administration has added administrators and expanded student services on campus in an attempt to respond to student concerns. However, with rising costs in higher education, the administration is also tasked with balancing the need to provide adequate services for students with the high costs that come with them.

President Trump signed an executive order March 21 mandating that federal agencies to not provide funding for colleges and universities that fail to uphold their students free speech rights. Officials at Ithaca College say they do not believe it will have a significant impact on campus.

Hayley Harris will begin a new position as associate vice president and chief human resources officer for the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois on Oct. 6.

President Collado said Hayley Harris will be the new vice president of the Office of Human and Organizational Development and Planning.
The Office of Human Resources, located on the ground floor of the Peggy Ryan Williams Center, organized the compensation restructuring. Approximately 150 staff members got increased pay.

IC HR Cloud, the new human resources program, will feature a new user interface and a mobile-friendly environment.
