Ithaca College students celebrate MLK’s legacy with service

The sounds of power tools and laughter echoed in the halls of the New Roots Charter School Jan. 30 as Ithaca College students worked together with one goal in mind: giving back.
Tara Andrews, the Elect Her facilitator from the American Association of University Women speakers bureau, led exercises that emulated the development of a campaign as part of the Women Leaders Series.

Ithaca College holds second monthlong Women Leaders Series

Ithaca College is holding its second Women Leaders Series from Feb. 21 to March 21, a month of workshops and discussions designed to provide learning opportunities for women who are in or want to be in positions of power.
Freshmen Carrie Lindeman and Sarah Logsdon spoke on behalf of their project group about their upcoming website, becoming a nonprofit organization and the dean’s sponsorship.

Student website highlights privilege
