The Student Governance Council passed the Dean’s Student Council Recommendation, which recommends that the deans of all five schools at the college create a Dean’s Student Council. Currently, only the School of Music and School of Business have student councils.

SGC elects senate chair for 2019–20 academic year

Freshman Abigail Murtha was unanimously elected by the SGC senate as senate chair with a vote of 5–0.

Student Government Association elects 2016–17 senate chair

Freshman Carlie McClinsey was voted in as 2016–17 senate chair of the Student Government Association at the May 2 meeting, running against two other candidates on a platform for strengthening the senate and stabilizing the constitution.
The SGA Executive Board voices concerns over recent decisions made to cut study abroad programs and the stepping down of Thomas Pfaff and Patricia Spencer from the Office of Civic Engagement.
