Ithaca College SGA delays vote for official induction of VP

Ithaca College Student Government Association delayed the induction of interim vice president of campus affairs, Matilda Thornton-Clark, following low senate attendance and confusion over the constitution.

Ithaca College SGA selects permanent VP of Campus Affairs

Former Class of 2016 senator Matilda Thornton-Clark has been chosen to take over as the Student Government Association vice president of campus affairs on a permanent basis, according to a Jan. 19 SGA announcement.
The Ithaca College Student Governemnt Association announced Jan. 7 that Yena Seo, vice president of campus affairs, has resigned. SGA President Dominick Recckio, center, said he asked Seo to resign.

Staff Council to launch survey on holding a no confidence vote

Staff Council will be launching a survey after its Dec. 15 meeting asking staff whether or not they would like to move forward with a no confidence vote, according to an email acquired by The Ithacan.

SGA bill to improve relationship between students and OPS

The Ithaca College Student Government Association passed a bill with the goal of mending relationships between the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management and the student body. The bill, titled the PEACE bill, was passed at a Dec. 7 meeting. It was spurred by alleged incidents of aggression by Public Safety officers and subsequent protests over the racial climate at the college.
