The SGC welcomed nine newly elected senators and instated five students to the Appropriations Committee at the SGC's weekly meeting Sept. 19.

Angélica Carrington, director for the Center for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Social Change  (IDEAS), said by providing culturally validating spaces, the center works to empower marginalized students.

SGC discussed its constituents’ concerns and questions March 7, regarding changes at the college like curriculum revision and the mask mandate.
Junior Harley Grossman is the senator for the School of Humanities and Sciences for the Student Governance Council. She writes about the challenges students face with the current limited library hours and hopes to pass a bill to extend library hours. She believes this will be beneficial to all students.
