It’s been obvious that over the last four months, the administration has not been open to discourse with the campus community.
The college is currently conducting a review, called the Academic Program Prioritization (APP), of all of its academic programs in which programs will be identified for discontinuation, consolidation, reorganization or growth. This could result in the elimination of entire departments and tenured faculty members losing their jobs.

Clearly, this is something no one wants to see happen. Shared governance can be achieved. The college is just making it more difficult.
David Prunty, executive director of auxiliary services and Shared Governance task force member, talked about shared governance to community members at an event held last October.
